As clubs around the nation and the world get ready to reopen in this era of social distancing, what does the ramp up to open look like? It's not like we are going to be right back to lapdances and customers at close quarters anytime soon, but we have to open and get back to business.
As marketing is our specialty, here are a few ideas to consider.
1. Lead the way with safety and promote the fact that ultraviolet light (UV Light) kills viruses. Read More the Apr 21, 2020 article from Columbia University where Columbia researcher David Brenner believes far-UVC light—safe for humans, but lethal for viruses—could be a game changer. A technique that zaps airborne viruses with a narrow-wavelength band of UV light shows promise for curtailing the person-to-person spread of COVID-19 in indoor public places. Amazon has low priced options to show you care about health and safety.
2. Use this opportunity to build better marketing lists. As the more confident patrons start coming back to the clubs and self-identifying, this is the time to engage with them and gain the ability to market to them more. Get email addresses and text info, these opt-in lists can be a boost long-term for your club.
3. Your dancers might have to start getting a little more creative in the beginning. If lap dances are off the table, then how about a premium 'suggestive' girl on girl tease? If your staff take the very low cost test that is available then for them, social distancing is no longer an issue and even better if they have antibodies.
You can't get back to the old normal right away, and you might find a better business model in the meantime, but don't be complacent or feel defeated, business is a battle and even more so for gentlemen's clubs that have more forces working against them.
